Blurb: “You are the only you there ever has been or ever will be. You are unique. Just the odds of you being here at this exact place and this exact time are so great and so rare that they will never happen again.”

About: This beautifully illustrated book asks the reader on the first page, “Have you ever wondered why you are here?” From that first page it goes to say that each of us are the only one of us there are and we have so much to give to the world. Maybe we will invent something, build things, help others, lift crowds or more. Whatever we may do or wherever we may go, we should carry our dreams and hopes, do it with love, and understand that at times we may fall but we will get back up stronger than before.

Discussion Questions:
-What would you want to invent? OR Would you want to become an inventor? OR What is an inventor?
-Why is it important that we try as many things as we can and see as much as we can?
-How are facing our fears and failures going to help become stronger?
Activities to try with the book:
-Toadstool: I got a lot of inspiration from the illustrations. One of the pages was filled with toadstools (or mushrooms). Create your own with toilet paper rolls, paper bowls, glue, and paint. Paint the underside of the bowl red with white dots. Once dried, glue the toilet paper roll to the inside of the bowl so that it becomes the stem of your mushroom.
–Nature Picture: The story takes place outside the girl in the story has created a wonderful cap to look like a bird out of leaves, string, and paper. While it would be amazing to create more head coverings, go as simple as gathering things from nature and creating a picture on paper out of what you gather.
–Writing Prompt: The main character appears to have a pet pig or a pig as a sidekick. What animal would you want to have as a sidekick?
